Real Housewives of New Jersey Respond to Garden State Plaza Shooting

Several Real Housewives of New Jersey stars have taken to Twitter to react to a shooting that took place at a mall that several of the stars live near.

A 20-year-old gunman died of a self-inflicted gun wound in the early hours of November 5 after firing a series of shots in the Garden State Plaza mall in Paramus, New Jersey, according to the Star-Ledger. Luckily, no one besides the gunman was injured.

On November 4, Melissa Gorga tweeted, "I can't believe shots were fired at Garden State Plaza. I'm there all the time with my kids. Thank God everyone is ok. Hope they catch him."

Jacqueline Laurita tweeted, "Can't believe what's going on at Garden State Plaza Mall right now! Guy in full body armor shooting! Shot out security cameras! #scary."

"This crazy world makes me want to only shop online for everything and homeschool my kids," Jacqueline added. "So disheartening. :0("

Meanwhile, Caroline Manzo tweeted that a friend of her daughter Lauren Manzo's was hiding in the mall throughout the entire incident. "One of @laurenmanzo's friends works there and is hiding in a storage room at mall," Caroline tweeted. "This is completely insane. Sickening."

"I'm watching the news, and I can't believe my eyes," Caroline added, pointing out that the mall is six minutes from her home. "You always think it can never happen near you."

And her son, Chris Manzo, tweeted, "Hopefully nobody got hurt at Garden State, grew up in that mall. Prayers up."

We're relieved that no one else was hurt, and our thoughts are with all of those who were involved.
