Cynthia Bailey Responds to NeNe Leakes’s Claims That She Wasn’t a Loyal Friend

Nothing good lasts forever, we guess. After three seasons of being attached at the hip, NeNe Leakes let it be known last night (April 13) that she and her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Cynthia Bailey are “not cool anymore.” In other words, the “Talls” are officially a thing of the past.

NeNe has seen a number of her friendships drop off this season, from close bridesmaids like Marlo Hampton to frenemy Kenya Moore (the other two members of the group formerly known as the Talls). But we really didn’t think we’d see the day where the seemingly fiercely loyal Cynthia would be out of the good graces of NeNe, and vice versa. But see, that loyalty we thought was there? Linnethia says it was never there.

“I think that Cynthia will blow whichever way the wind blows,” NeNe said during her Andy Cohen one-on-one special last night. “When you have a friend and they do something you don’t like, I don’t think you align yourself with the enemy.” (The “enemy” here is Cynthia’s supposed new chum, Kenya.)

And she wasn’t finished questioning Cynthia’s alliances. “You don’t line yourself with the enemy. To me, it says you’re weak… People like to say they’re so loyal… then why can’t you stand on your own two feet?”

But the supermodel is not taking these assertions lying down, and she took to Twitter immediately after the sitdown aired to share her side.

“I was a loyal friend to @NeNeLeakes. #truth,” Cynthia writes.

The reality starlet also retweeted a fan who wrote, “@CynthiaBailey10 needs to choose her friends more wisely.”

Apparently, we will see some more of this bad blood in the upcoming (three!) reunion specials, but needless to say, this is all a turn of events we didn’t see coming. Even Andy appeared pretty shocked by the sudden fall out between the women. R.I.P. Linythia (or Cynene?). We will miss you.
