Julianne Hough Returns to Dancing With the Stars Tonight, October 7: Cast Reacts!

It has been nine seasons since Julianne Hough took the ballroom by storm on Dancing With the Stars, but she’s making her triumphant return tonight, October 7. While she won’t be dancing, she’ll be doing something equally as exciting for fans: sitting at the judges’ table in Len Goodman’s place.

In addition to her excited tweets about returning, a few cast members (judges and contestants alike) have voiced their reactions about the guest judge. Read on for a few — surprisingly not including brother Derek Hough — and then hit the comments with your own feelings!

“So excited for @juliannehough to be judging tomorrow! She's my girl crush #rawr,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi wrote on October 6.

“#DWTS Don't forget to tune in,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba also wrote on October 6. “The lovely & talented & UBER qualified judge Miss @juliannehough will be sitting with Bruno and #STILL<3LEN.” She later added a fun aside directed at Bruno, tweeting, “@juliannehough just be careful of @BrunoTonioli my brother's arms... Can be a hazard! #1judge2another :) love u BruBru!! Xox #neverchange!”

Last, but certainly not least, Val Chmerkovskiy shared all of his thoughts in his TODAY blog, even referencing the potential bias she could have toward her brother.

“I’m not really concerned that Julianne Hough is going to be a guest judge. As far as I’m concerned, Derek and Mark have relationships with Carrie Ann and Bruno and Len. So do we all in some way or another,” he wrote. “Personally I think Julianne is a very honest and very professional person foremost — incredibly entertaining and has a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience. I would love to see what she has to say! I’m excited to have her as a guest judge.”

We’re so excited to have Julianne back. Will you tune in? Sound off below, and catch DWTS tonight, Monday, October 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
