The Walking Dead Returns For Halloween Horror Nights 2014 — Check Out a Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

Ah, October! It has to be the best month of the year. The air gets crisp, the leaves turn, and the dead rise again. It’s glorious.

The Walking Dead premieres every October, and we’re looking forward to Season 5 showing up on one of those Sundays. It’s also Halloween month, and Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are teaming with TWD to bring back Halloween Horror Nights for the third year in a row.

For this cool event, hundreds of zombies/walkers will be featured in horror mazes and throughout the theme parks in Hollywood, CA, and Orlando, FL. If only they’d take it to every city across the country and around the world! We all deserve to be scared half to death.

According to USA Today, the 2014 Halloween Horror Night activities will be based on TWD Season 4, so fans can expect some show-specific elements, including a horror maze set in the prison. The parks worked closely with TWD reps, including the ubiquitous producer/director/special effects guru, Greg Nicotero. Last year, Greg is said to have personally overseen 2,500 prosthetic special effects used by zombies in the parks.

Universal Orlando Resort will reportedly “feature the largest maze built in the park's Halloween history, twice the size of any done in the past. The horror scenes will include the prison and also a dilapidated country club which will be overrun by zombie walkers.”

Get more details here, and watch the video below for a scary look at all the stuff and thangs they’ll be showing. It looks amazing. Have you been to Halloween Horror Nights in the past? Will you go this year?
