Lea Michele Reveals the Glee Song That Got Away (VIDEO)

Lea Michele (Rachel) was lucky enough to score her dream job singing and acting on one of the most popular and influential shows in recent memory and she often opens up about how grateful she is for the Glee experience, but that doesn’t mean that she’s doesn’t have her fair share of regrets or missed opportunities either.

Sure, she’s gotten to belt out hundreds of Top 40 hits, Broadway tunes, and undeniable classics, but last month Lea admitted to Bravo’s Andy Cohen that she’s tired of covering the Journey hit “Don’t Stop Believing,” and now she’s opening up about another great track she’d wished she covered but didn’t get the chance to.

During an interview with on Jim & Kim on Fresh 102.7 FM, Lea was asked which song she would have loved to sing but didn’t get the opportunity to. “I really wanted to sing ‘Someone Like You’ by Adele but I think that Amber, Naya, Dianna, the girls sang it,” Lea dished.

And even though she didn’t get to sing the Adele hit, Lea still gave her co-stars props for a job well done. “But it’s amazing,” she said. “It’s one of my favorite songs on the show."

We would have loved for her to sing “Someone Like You” as well, but instead we’ve gotten to hear her belt out other Adele hits in the past like “Rolling in the Deep”, which was a duet with her best friend, Jonathan Groff back in Season 2, and “Make You Feel My Love”, which made us bawl our eyes out during the Cory Monteith (Finn) tribute last season.

Do you think Lea should have sang “Someone Like You”, or did Amber, Naya, and Dianna do a good job without her? Check out the full interview below and let us know what you think!

Glee Season 6 is expected to debut in 2015.
