Emily Thorne leads a pretty glamorous life on Revenge. Apart from the fact that the Graysons destroyed her family and ended up being responsible for her father’s murder, Ms. Thorne has a pretty good setup in the Hamptons. She has endless funds, a gorgeous beach house, and a plethora of men dying to be the one on her arm. But according to a new spoiler from TVLine, Ems no longer has a love square and will be back to a simple triangle in Season 3.

“One thing that Sunil [Nayar, the new showrunner] and I talked about was really defining her relationship with these men, because it got very muddled,” she reveals. “No one is going to love three men in the same way. We really needed to define: Who does Emily Thorne love?”

So who gets the short end of this pyro’s match?

“She’s really using Daniel,” Emily admits. “It’s unfortunate. There really is not the element of love between Emily and Daniel. It’s part of her plan. Jack and Aiden are her two great loves, for very different reasons. Emily and Aiden understand each other on a totally different level than anyone could ever imagine. And yet the nostalgia and the childhood love and the purity and the wholesomeness of love with Jack is such an appeal to her, too.”

Yes, Emily, that is unfortunate. Danny’s the hottest one in the mix, not to mention he’s played by Ms. VanCamp’s real-life boyfriend, Josh Bowman, so their chemistry is incredible.

Jack is living in angst city and since Declan died in the Season 2 finale, the population is only one. Aiden’s storyline was compelling, but now that his mission is over and he’s lost Emily’s trust, his plot doesn’t seem to have much of a point in Season 3.

Personally, we’d love for the writers to introduce Nolan Ross as a potential love interest for Ems, but if they’re trying to clear up the murky waters of Ms. Thorne’s love life, introducing a new player might not be the best idea (even if he makes the most sense).
