We’re headed back to the Hamptons this weekend when Revenge returns for its third season on Sunday. After a heavy sophomore season, we’re looking forward to seeing things slow down again this year. But if there’s one thing that’s ramping up, it’s protagonist (and resident crazy girl) Emily Thorne’s (Emily VanCamp) relationships with bestie Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) and lover Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman).

Firstly, you needn’t worry about Emily and Nolan. According to TV Guide, the epic duo is “100 percent back together.”

“But by the same token, as much as they’re going to be sort of partners-in-crime, we’re going to start examining the dynamics of their relationship and friendship going forward,” new showrunner Sunil Nayar said. “They challenge each other in ways we haven’t seen before.”

So we’ve got the friendship ground covered, but what about Emily and Daniel’s love life? It’s pretty clear that Emily is using Daniel, but is their love real?

“What’s great about Daniel this year is that he also begins to take control of his own destiny,” Sunil said. “We saw him last season be pulled by the forces of what Conrad wanted, what Emily wanted, what the company wanted. Daniel is going to make himself his own man, and, in doing so, Emily is surprised by it and doesn’t expect it.”

Uh-oh, there isn’t much that Emily doesn’t expect, so we’re in for a wild ride.

“There are moments coming up where you definitely get a sense that there's a fire [between them],” Sunil teased.

What do you think will happen between Emily and Nolan this season? How about Emily and Daniel? Hit the comments and let us know!
