We're constantly learning bits and pieces of Emily Thorne's background on Revenge, but if you're hankering for a deeper look into Emily's past you're in luck. Thanks to an upcoming graphic novel, Revenge: The Secret Origin of Emily Thorne, we can learn all about our favorite vengeful heroine.

According to USA Today, this graphic novel from Marvel Comics is due out on September 3, 2014, and will focus on Emily's time in training. Specifically, it focuses on Em's first mission in Switzerland after training with Takeda.

Revenge executive producer Sunil Nayar is involved in the project, and explained to USA Today that the goal is to "tell the origin of the woman you see that shows up in the pilot, as differentiated from the girl who was thrown into (juvenile detention) when her dad was taken from her."

The graphic novel will be written by Erica Schultz, in conjunction with Ted Sullivan, a writer on the show, as well as Jesse Lasky and Wilson Pollock, who are part of the show's production staff. The art will come from Vincenzo Balzano and Dustin Nguyen.

Ted Sullivan explained to USA Today that we'll get to see Em, still new to the revenge game, thinking on her feet a lot in this novel. He also emphasized that Em and her missions were a natural fit for the graphic novel genre.

We're just excited to learn more about Emily, in any format!
