TVLine recently confirmed that Barry has been cast in the pilot for new ABC show The Visitors. It sounds like he'll be tapping into Aiden-like badassery as an FBI turned Special Projects agent who gets embroiled in a race to save the world from an alien threat.

That sounds pretty cool, actually, but what does it mean for Aiden's future on Revenge? According to TVLine's sources, his role in the fourth season — if Revenge is, indeed, renewed — is "still being determined."

Sources had previously said that if Barry did get a role on a new show, he'd still be able to appear on Revenge in some form, and the producers were, at the time, expecting to keep him around in one form or another. Since The Visitors is an ABC show, we're sure arrangements could easily be made to have Aiden pop up now and again.

Final decisions about Aiden's future are probably still a while off. After all, Revenge hasn't even been officially renewed yet, and since The Visitors is only a pilot at this point, it's fate is far from determined, either.

Will you be sad if Aiden has a reduced role, or leaves entirely, next season? Sound off in the comments below!
