Revenge Season 3 ended with a twist that, though not unexpected, still changes everything. David Clarke is alive, he's back, he's been declared innocent, and you know that means things are going to be very different in the Hamptons. So, exactly what can we expect out of daddy dearest in Season 4? Showrunner Sunil Nayar recently dished some details.
Sunil spoke to E! about the twist, explaining that the writers thought it was "a great way to generate story," and confirming that yes, we're "going to see a lot of [David] next season." Good. We'd hate for him to be brought back only to be kept in the shadows.
David's re-introduction to the story was dramatic not just because he was supposed to be dead, but because the first thing we saw him do was coldly stab Conrad to death. Is that an indication that the sweet man who told his daughter to forgive and move on with her life is gone? Yeah, it sounds like it.
"You realize this man is no longer about forgiveness, that revenge has become a part of his makeup," Sunil explained, adding, "I'm sure it's going to be a polarizing decision, there's nobody who's not going to want to know where he's been and what he's about, so we can't wait to tell those stories next season."
And we can't wait to see how it all plays out!
