Josh Bowman (Daniel Grayson) hasn’t always been the biggest supporter of Revenge. Whether its him not understanding where his character is headed or just not jiving with the creative direction of the series, the 26-year-old British actor has made his stance pretty clear. Has this put the life of his character in danger of being killed off?

“We never talked about it,” showrunner Sunil Nayar told E! Online, saying they’ve never even considered killing off Daniel. “I think when Josh was saying those things, it was in the middle of those episodes where he shot Emily and he didn’t really know which way his character was going to go, even though we talked about it.”

Rest easy, Revenge fans! It sounds like Daniel’s life is safe — at least for now. So what might we be expecting from his character when Season 4 returns this fall?

“I think he’s so layered and interesting and certainly we want to keep making him a little bit on the evil side, but I think there’s a lot to be examined in Daniel’s journal,” Sunil continued. “He’s going to lose a father, just like Emily did years ago, and that’s going to hit him in ways that will be surprising and unexpected. So we are never considering losing Josh and I am thrilled that he is staying on the show.”

For a show that takes pride in killing off characters out of nowhere, we’re a little surprised to hear that Daniel’s fate is pre-determined to not change anytime soon. We hope the Powers That Be just decide to do what’s best with the show going forward — whether that means keeping Daniel around or killing him off.
