Ashley Madekwe Steals Clothes From Her Character’s Closet!

Ashley Madekwe (Ashley Davenport) is one part super starlet and one part budding fashionista! When this gal isn’t plotting and sleuthing as Ashley on Revenge, she spends time running Ring My Bell, a fashion blog where she models her favorite looks and gives beauty tips.

Ash’s outfits on Revenge are cutting edge, and it’s partially thanks to her own unique style. “I referenced Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung as inspirations,” Ashley tells InStyle. “We use British designers like Mulberry and McQueen and, since half of my own wardrobe is from Topshop, I’m keen for Ashley to wear it as well.”

Of course, Revenge’s costume designer Jill Ohanneson has the final say, but she’s open to collaborating with Ashley on her character’s outfits. “We decided early on that her character would be all about shoes and handbags,” Jill says. “That’s what I spend the most money on.”

Speaking of shoes, Ashley’s closet full of Louboutins have us drooling, and we’re not alone. Ash is so impressed by her character’s collection, that sometimes she busts out her inner kleptomaniac.

“I borrowed a pair of Louboutins once, and I wore a Theory dress out to a party,” Ashley says. “I knew I could get away with it if I didn’t have my picture taken!”
