Did Jack Porter Die in Revenge Season 2, Episode 14, “Sacrifice”?

Oh Revenge writers, you sneaky seamen! We’ve been saying a nightly prayer for Jack Porter ever since the deadly scene in the Season 2 premiere. Fortunately, Montauk’s favorite captain was spared in tonight’s episode.

In the premiere, all we saw was the hand of a dead married man at the bottom of the ocean that appeared to belong to a passenger of Jack’s beloved boat, The Amanda.

Apparently Nate Ryan was secretly married, because he was the only confirmed male death in tonight’s episode.

Montauk’s latest bad boy hid on The Amanda when Jack and Mandy set sail on their honeymoon, and he even put a bullet in Jack’s side. But Amanda was determined to save her hubby and used all of her ex-stripper/murderer skills to get him to safety. 

Nolan plucked the wayward seaman out of the life raft and quickly took him to the nearest hospital where he went into emergency surgery. 

We can’t be sure that he’ll survive the shooting, but paparazzi recently snapped some photos on set at a funeral and Jack was in attendance. Plus, Jack dying after all Amanda went through to save him would be much too cruel. 

But Revenge always keeps us guessing with new twists and turns, so it’s not entirely out of the question.
