Charlotte and Emily have a heart-to-heart in Season 1, Episode 15.
We started the first season of Revenge with a cold-blooded murder on the beaches of the Hamptons, always led to believe that the victim was “tragically privileged” Daniel Grayson.
But in the past five months, audiences everywhere have fallen in love with Joshua Bowman, making it impossible to think that the new hit show would actually get rid of the handsome Brit.
The only thing we know for sure is this: Someone gets shot multiple times on the night of Daniel’s and Emily’s engagement party, Jack (Nick Wechsler) is dragging a limp body on the beach, Emily is calling the corpse’s cell phone, and there’s a lot of screaming of Daniel’s name
Yet, we never see a face. Is there hope that it might be a red herring? We asked Christa B. Allen, who plays his little sister, Charlotte.
“Oh, someone is dead,” she teases. “You can't get shot in the back of the head and not die.”
“Nobody's saying Josh is safe,” she continues. “I mean, this is a scary prospect, isn't it? Losing Josh … He was one of us. He was one of our favorites. But I mean, nobody's safe. We've explored the concept that Emily's not sane and not rational. So if anything can happen with her, anything can happen.”
Of course, Christa is happy to let us entertain the idea that it might not be Daniel laying face down on the beach.
“Either way, if someone's dead, someone out there is going to be sad,” she says.
“We're losing somebody. I don't think it's going to be just some random passerby because nobody would care if it's some random partygoer. It’s somebody out there with impact, definitely.”
What do you think? Should Josh Bowman be considering pilot season or is there a possibility someone else took the hit(s)?
