When TV Line came out with a blind item saying a freshman hit series will moving its location to New York City for Season 2, our minds went one place: the Hamptons. Could Revenge be the show in question? Let’s examine the evidence.
“The move would herald a dramatic (and spoilery) storytelling shift for the show in question, which is why we’re withholding the title… for now,” says TV Line. Getting an entire beach worth of people to head to NYC would be very dramatic, but we already know that when that dead body washes up on shore, it pretty much spells the end of summer, and only townies like Declan (Connor Paolo) and Jack (Nick Wechsler) hang around the Hamptons after Labor Day, right?
Plus, the murderer has been caught and is on trial by Episode 16, so maybe we’ll already get a taste of New York living in Season 1. Will Revenge be the same without its Hamptons address? Probably not, but there are 8 million people in New York City for Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) to exact revenge upon — and plenty of places for her to hide her infinity box.
