Stop everything you're doing (binge eating caviar, trolling the beach for sea glass, etc), because show runner extraordinaire, Mike Kelley, is reportedly leaving Revenge before its highly-anticipated third season. We know, take a moment.

"In a difficult mutual decision between myself and ABC studios, the end of my current contract will mark my final season as showrunner for Revenge," Mike said. "Helming this series has been the ride of a lifetime, and my producing partner, Melissa Loy, and I will look back on our Revenge time with deep gratitude and respect for Emily [VanCamp] and [Madeleine Stowe] and the rest of the incredible cast … I’m excited about finishing post production on the season two finale, which I hope will stand among the best episodes of the series thus far. Continued success to all.”

Our jaws = dropped. Mike has been helming Revenge's unsinkable ship since its first season, and thanks to him the series has been a breakout hit with huge ratings. However, not all hope is lost. Revenge's executive producer, Sunil Nayar, will likely fill Mike's shoes during the third season — if the show is in fact renewed.

“Mike Kelley created a distinctive series for our studio and network with tremendous passion and dedication," says ABC's Barry Jossen. "We wish him all the best as he moves on to his next television achievement.”

Excuse us as we go change into our black Herve Leger mourning bandage dresses.
