We love the occasional my-mom’s-in-bed-with-a-murderer flashback just as much as the next Revenger, but Kara Wallace Clarke’s trampy memories simply aren’t enough for us.

Last season, show creator, Mike Kelley, and the cast of our favorite drama gave us an entire flashback episode called “Legacy.” And this season, they’re doing another one in Episode 8, “Lineage.”

In this episode, we’ll be introduced to a 16-year-old Victoria Grayson and her ladder-climbing mother (played by Adrienne Barbeau) — but that’s only the beginning of the exciting twists. In a recent interview with TV Fanatic, executive producer Melissa Loy gave us tons of juicy details about “Lineage.”

“Episode 8 of this season (airing 11/25) is another origins episode going back to 2006,” Melissa revealed. “We meet Emily and Aiden for the first time together, and we see an interesting revelation about Victoria and really why she is who she is.”

Color us curious! But Ems and Vicki aren’t the only ones we’ll learn more about in Episode 8.

“We also dig into Nolan’s past a little bit when Nolcorp went public and EJ Bonilla plays his CEO at the time and there’s a bit more there than just a business relationship,” Melissa continued. “All of these origins are setting up for future stories down the road and explaining why certain things are going to happen.”

Personally, we can’t wait for another flashback episode! And if you’re wondering why Episode 8 won’t be airing until Nov. 25, blame the American Music Awards. The 40th annual awards ceremony is airing on Sunday, Nov. 18 during Revenge’s normal time slot.

So next week, we’ll be treated to Episode 7, “Exposure,” and then we’ll be forced to wait two excruciatingly long weeks for Episode 8, “Lineage.”
