Revenge Season 2 Spoiler: Which Character Comes Back From the Dead in Episode 8, “Lineage”?

Though Revenge offers a plethora of drama, designer dresses, and daddy issues, one of the few lines it hasn’t crossed is delving into the supernatural.

So you can imagine our surprise when the synopsis was released for Episode 8, “Lineage,” saying, “Carl Porter gets into hot water when he crosses the wrong people on the docks.”

Obviously baby Carl David Porter isn’t crossing any of the wrong people on the docks — unless he steals someone’s pacifier — so we have to assume it’s the late great Carl Porter, Sr., aka Jack and Declan’s recently-deceased father.

But does daddy dearest rise from the grave? Not exactly. Episode 8, airing on Nov. 25, is entirely in flashback mode!

In “Lineage,” we’ll learn a bit more about Carl’s past, which we can only assume is linked to Kenny Ryan’s current involvement with The Stowaway.

And though it might seem a tad dull in comparison to terrorist plots and arrested bloggers, executive producer Melissa Loy assures us that the payoff will be well worth the wait.
