When we found out that Revenge’s resident snarkster, Nolan Ross, has an ex-boyfriend coming into town, our minds immediately started reeling at who should play the lucky guy.
Using Lucas’s personality traits — “smart, attractive, and vulnerable” — as an anchor, we narrowed down our dream casting to five actors who fit the bill.
So who should play this “high-level exec at a tech start-up” who stole Nolan’s heart? Check out our picks below, and then leave your suggestions in the comments!
On Matt’s show, White Collar, he charms his way in (and out) of situations frequently while wearing a snappy suit and a fedora. And from one look at him, we know he’s attractive enough to woo Nolan Ross — especially if he’s stripping, Magic Mike style.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has showed off his soft, vulnerable side in (500) Days of Summer, but was also the brains of the operation in Inception. And have you seen this man in glasses? He takes geek chic to an entirely new level!
Peter Parker could spin quite an enticing web for Nolan Ross. We could have gone with the more obvious choice — Andrew’s Social Network co-star, Jesse Eisenberg — but the Nolster has better taste than that. Let’s face it: Andrew looks great in a suit, and we know he can play a businessman!
Maybe it’s not the post-O.C. comeback we were dreaming of, but Seth Cohen could be running his own company by now. Adam not only looks great, but is as quick-witted as Nolan, which would make for quite a snark-off!
Matthew Gray Gubler
Matthew’s awkward but lovable Criminal Minds character, Dr. Spencer Reid, might be a better fit, but off-screen, he has a quirky, fun-loving attitude that could balance out Nolan’s serious side, too. This geeky and charming guy could woo anyone!
