Phaedra Parks: Kenya Moore is Disgusting, Played a Part in My Divorce

After years of constant feuding, Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore decided to start with a clean slate this season on Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Unfortunately, it appears their peace treaty was short-lived, as Phaedra recently lashed out at the beauty queen for making light of her split from Apollo Nida and even contributing to the destruction of their marriage.

The drama started this episode when Kenya threw both Phaedra and Cynthia Bailey a party to celebrate their divorces from Apollo and Peter Thomas, respectively.

“We’re having a celebration for you and Cynthia today,” Kenya told Phaedra upon her arrival. “It’s the ‘I do, I did, I’m done!’ It’s a rebirth party.”

While Cynthia went with the flow, Phaedra was offended by the gesture.

“Do they not respect the institution of marriage and what it stands for? Who makes light of that? They celebrate destruction. And I’ve made it very clear: I do not care to speak with anyone outside you about anything going on with me personally.”

“I don’t want to celebrate my children losing their father,” the mother of two added. “It’s just tacky.”

She was also offended at Kenya being the one to throw party considering her bad habit of flirting with Apollo before he went to prison for bank fraud and identity theft.

“When I was married, Kenya continuously flirted with my husband. So no wonder she’s celebrating. It’s just on a whole ‘nother level of skanky.”

Phaedra then left the party, claiming she felt sick. A text message she later sent to Porsha Williams explained her true feelings.

“I’m appalled that they would think the breakup of a family is a cause for celebration, and with the host being the trifling woman who was texting my husband? Disgusting and disgraceful.”

Once face to face again, Kenya called out Phaedra over the text, saying she didn’t deserve to be called disgusting. She also claimed the texts in question are from over two years ago.

Phaedra clapped back, saying the time frame doesn’t matter if she and Apollo were still married, which they were.

“It was trifling what you did. It doesn’t matter — I was married. I do not blame you [for my marriage breaking up], but that’s half of the problem I’ve had with you … in my marriage, you had a very contentious part.”

One person who wasn’t surprised at Kenya and Phaedra’s failed attempt at friendship was Sheree Whitfield.

The designer threw in her two cents towards the end of the episode, saying “I knew it was not going to last. You can only be fake for so long.”
