RHOC’s Peggy Sulahian Banned Brother From Dad’s Funeral For Being Gay — Report
Peggy Sulahian’s life may seem picture perfect on TV, but it looks like she has some serious family issues to sort out.
The newest Real Housewives of Orange County star claims to have a very close family, but sources say the 43-year-old is estranged from her brother, Pol’ Atteu.
In fact, the new Bravolebrity is reportedly “extremely homophobic” and no longer talks with her brother or his fiancé, Patrik Simpson, because they’re gay.
According to Radar Online, the California resident even turned away her brother from their father’s funeral last year, simply because of his sexual orientation.
“Peggy did not even tell her brother their father was dying, and he did not know until he was already dead,” a source said.
“She did not want him coming to see him at the hospital because he is gay and it literally broke her brother’s heart.”
The reality star eventually called her brother to let him know their father had passed away, but she warned him not to attend the funeral.
“When Peggy and Pol’s father died, Peggy called him and Patrik and told them not to come to the funeral,” the source continued.
“She said that her and her family do not want ‘his kind’ there, and that if they did come, they would be kicked out.”
Of course Pol showed up to the funeral to pay his respects to his father, but Peggy’s husband, Diko Sulahian, supposedly tried to have him kicked out.
“Peggy does not accept gays or the gay lifestyle and told her own brother that he and Patrik are not welcome around her kids,” the source revealed.
“Her whole family image is an act.”
Despite the mother of three’s reported homophobic views, her parents were very accepting of their son’s sexuality.
“The real sad part about all of this is that Peggy’s mother and father both accepted their son as being gay,” the source said.
“She is the one who turned her back on him, and she is terrified that people will find out. The whole situation is just so heartbreaking.”
And, to make matters worse, Pol confirmed the troubling news, telling Radar, “Unfortunately it is all true.”
He continued, “She is extremely homophobic and yes, it is heartbreaking.”
Wow, we are shocked. Do you think Peggy will get kicked off the show? Sound off below.
