RHOC Ratings Rise With Season 9, Episode 7 — Oklahoma Brings the Ratings!

Everyone loves a good vacation, but it seems like people also love watching Vicki Gunvalson suffer in Oklahoma. Ratings for The Real Housewives of Orange County rose dramatically this week with “Choke-lahoma,” which is great news for our favorite housewives. Last week’s “Showdown at the Hoedown” experienced a drop from the week before, so it’s nice to see things are picking back up. In fact, this was the second-highest rated episode of the season!

If you missed the last episode, you really need to catch up, and soon. A lot of amazing things happened! Shannon Beador and Heather Dubrow both were insane micromanagers at their respective Holiday card photoshoots, which really explains so much about their feud. Of course they aren’t going to get along — they’re basically the same person. Later, we found out Shannon invited the gals to a football games and excluded Heather (ouch!). Finally, things are starting to make sense with these two. In the most staged scene ever, Tamra Barney found out her son, Ryan, takes human growth hormone and drags him to her anti-aging doctor, because that makes sense.

But, most importantly (and most hilariously), Vicki Gunvalson found herself in Oklahoma this week, helping her daughter, Briana, househunt. Long story short? Vicki hates Oklahoma. She can’t find it on a map, and she fancies herself a big city sophisticate who doesn’t have time for the little people of the Midwest. She doesn’t want Briana to move away from her, and doesn’t understand why her daughter wouldn’t want to live in California. And then she eats a fried sheep testicle.

Next week is Shannon’s annual holiday party, which should be amazing. We’re definitely going to be tuning in!

Will you be tuning in for next week’s “Not So Silent Night”? What did you think of “Choke-lahoma”? Sound off in the comments!

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
