#RichKids of Beverly Hills Premiere: Morgan Stewart and Cast React
On Sunday, January 19, #RichKids of Beverly Hillshad its series premiere. The new E! reality series showcases the fabulous, crazy, and dramatic lives of five of Beverly Hills’s richest young adults.
This show is all about social media — it's based on the wildly popular Rich Kids of Instagram, after all — and so it’s no surprise that they all took to Twitter to share their thoughts about the #RKOBH premiere.
Dorothy Wang was a bit nervous about her reality TV debut. “That awkward moment when you open up your entire life for the world to judge and voice their opinion on#scareds***less#RKOBH” she wrote.
Morgan Stewartwrote that she is, “Really overwhelmed by all of the loving and supportive tweets. I really hope you all enjoyed #RKOBH it only gets better!!”
But there was one comment in particular she made during the show that got a fair amount of backlash on Twitter. “You guys, I don't think Kentucky as a whole is homophobic / let's just take the joke,” shetweeted. When a fan cussed her out about the comment, she made sure to reiterate, “it was a joke! Sorry!”
When a fan told Jonny Drubel that he was only watching the show for him, the aspiring musician wrote back, “we're all amazing!”
On a more serious note, she addressed the controversy that arose on the show when Jonny learned that he, as a gay man, was not allowed to donate blood. Roxy tweeted, “The fact that gay men cannot donate blood is crazy and very archaic... #RKOBH”
Brendan Fitzpatrick tweeted the least of the cast: only three times throughout the night. But he did make sure to thank a fan who said he and girlfriend Morgan make an adorable couple. After watching the premiere, he tweeted, “Celebrating a great night with amazing people #blessed”
