With Chris Brown getting arrested this weekend for an alleged assault, Rihanna is reportedly glad to not at all be involved.
Chris was arrested in the wee hours of October 27 for allegedly punching a man in the face and using a gay slur in D.C.
Now, Rihanna is reportedly telling pals that, in light of the latest incident, she's glad that Chris is no longer a part of her life, according to Hollywood Life.
“Once again, she’s relieved she’s not involved,” a source says. “She’s given up on all that drama and is so happy she’s not part of the foolishness.”
That said, she hopes the situation can be resolved and that Chris can get his life back in order.
“She doesn’t want to see him without his freedom,” the source adds. “She hates to see people who are self-destructive, but it looks like that is the case.”
This is not the first time Chris has made headlines for losing his temper. He started dating Rihanna in 2008 and famously assaulted her in 2009, for which he was given community service and five years' formal probation. The couple got back together before splitting again earlier this year.
Other incidents involve Chris throwing an object out of a window during a tirade at Good Morning America in 2011, a bottle-throwing bar fight with Drake in 2012, and a fight with singer Frank Ocean after Chris allegedly called him a gay slur.
Needless to say, we're glad Rihanna has put her relationship with the volatile Chris behind her.
