Rihanna sings that chains and whips excite her, and tattoo needles apparently do, too, as she just got a new tattoo covering her entire right hand and arm. Seriously, this tattoo is huge.
E! Online is reporting that RiRi got the extensive body artwork done in the Dominican Republic over the weekend, as celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang McCurdy and his colleague Cally-Jo flew in to give her the tat.

In total, the new artwork took a whopping 11 hours to complete. Holy crap! The new body art incorporates an existing Maori tattoo that Rihanna got on her right hand in honor of her trip to New Zealand during her most recent world tour.
Bang Bang McCurdy says that the new tattoo required a lot of prep work. "We drew on her hand from 7 p.m. to midnight," he says. "We were drawing and changing things. I'd take a break and Cally-Jo would draw, then I'd draw."
"The inspiration was henna art," he continues. "We wanted something really decorative, feminine and sexy."
The artist has given tattoos to the pop star in the past but calls this one the "most challenging design I've done on Rihanna before."
And it sounds like Rihanna is thrilled with how it turned out. "Ri flipped out!" Bang Bang says. "Absolutely loved it, loved it! It's a hard thing when you get a tattoo and not absolutely love it. It's uncomfortable to have something on your hand, especially when it's in such a visible spot, and she's such a visible person."
What do you think of her new artwork? Do you love it or loathe it?
