Rihanna's latest music video — for "What Now" — is nearly as serious her "Stay" video but much more frenetic. Picture the emotion of "Stay" on acid… and then check out the video below to see what we're talking about.

In this new vid, RiRi writhes around as she sings, per usual. But the film is sped up and distressed in a way that makes her look like she's convulsing — perhaps exorcising some serious demons!

At other times, she's dancing next to shadowy images of herself — it's like this music video has more clones than an episode of Orphan Black.

Though her look is pretty pared down, she's still rocking a Fort Knox amount of silver jewelry in some shots.

And the video has a somber, monochromatic color scheme. It's like — you know where we're going with this — Fifty Shades of Gray Rihanna! (OK, that was our last analogy — we swear.)

In the music video's climax, shots of the Barbadian singer singing her heart out are interlaced with quick glimpses of frightening imagery: lightning bolts, chains, creeping insects, explosions, flaming buildings, burning crosses, grinding gears, etc. You know — the works.

Be sure to check out the video below for the full artistic expression… unless you suffer from high blood pressure.
