We haven't been this hot for teacher since Pretty Little Liars went on hiatus!

It was recently announced that Veronica Mars alum Jason Dohring would be returning to the small screen on Ringer as Mr. Carpenter, a teacher at the public school which Juliet Martin (Zoey Deutch) is forced to attend. He's slated to appear in Season 1, Episode 6, "The Poor Kids Do It Everyday," and TVLine has an exclusive sneak peek at Jason's long-overdue return to primetime.

In the clip, Mr. Carpenter and Juliet have an (overly intimate) chat in an (improbably dark) corridor, where they appear to be discussing a classroom conflict in which Mr. Carpenter defends Juliet. (If we know Juliet, this probably occurs after Juliet shivs one of her classmates for trying to steal her drugs, but no matter.) "Everyone deserves a fresh start," he says. Aww — could Juliet really be turning over a new leaf?

Producers have said that the relationship between Mr. Carpenter and Juliet won't go down the traditional hot-young-teacher-meets-promiscuous-student road, but there still appears to be some chemistry between the two, which has us thoroughly intrigued by where the relationship is headed.

Head over to TVLine to watch the clip — and be sure to have a No. 2 pencil ready, because it looks like things are heating up at Juliet's public school...
