As we gear up for the series premiere of the much-hyped Ringer, we're glad to see the stars standing firmly behind it. While Sarah Michelle Gellar may have a slightly higher stake in the project, not only repping as the lead actress, but also producing the series, she seems to be loving every minute of it — especially the male to female love interest ratio.
"All my characters have multiple love interests. That's how I like it. See, I'm both girls on the show so none of the other girls get my men," she explained to E! Online.
We like the way she thinks! We guess this is one of the many perks of locking in that producer cred ...
Plus, since Sarah's in almost every single scene of the show (sometimes twice!), she's guaranteed to get along well with her co-star.
"My co-star when I do those [twin] scenes is my favorite co-star," she quipped. "She agrees with everything I do, thinks my choices are genius and never has another idea of how I should do something."
This gig just gets better and better!
Even Nestor Carbonell, who's arguably coming off the role of a lifetime playing Richard Alpert on Lost, thinks Ringer is an adequate vessel for him to show off his acting chops. "[Shows like] Lost and The Sopranos were outside of the box and this is definitely one of them...It's smart and progressive. And it progresses at a slower pace beyond the pilot to really get into character development," he says of his highly anticipated Lost follow-up.
We've gotta admit, we're definitely interested in seeing how the boys will step up and challenge The Sarah Show this fall.
Ringer premieres September 13th on The CW.
