Before Sarah Michelle Gellar was trolling around the streets of Manhattan on Ringer, she was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Sarah’s rise to fame as a blonde bombshell in the 90s led to a big-time career on the big screen — and her favorite genre? Why horror, of course!

Sarah kickstarted her career in blockbuster movies as Helen in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1999). After that, she hopped on board the next available cult franchise as Cici in Scream 2 (1997). And yes, she died gruesome deaths in both movies.

Post lending her talents to the two biggest horror flicks of the '90s, Sarah got her incest on in Cruel Intentions (1999), where she played the devious Kathryn Mertreuil and swapped serious spit with Selma Blair.

Sarah took a break from fright fests to play Daphne in Scooby Doo (2000) and Scooby Doo 2 (2004), alongside her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. Of course, she couldn’t resist the spooky, scary calling, so she returned to horror as Crazy Nurse Karen in The Grudge (2004) and The Grudge 2 (2006).

Sarah’s been in a few feature films since the roaring mid-2000s, but sadly flicks like Suburban Girl (2007) and Veronica Decides to Die (2009) just didn’t make box office bucks. Better luck next time, Buffy!

Now that Sarah’s back on TV, will she venture onto the big screen again? You tell us!
