Grey’s Anatomy: Is Robert McHalffey Joining the Cast?

Details are excruciatingly scarce about Season 11 of Grey's Anatomy, but the Los Angeles Times features an actor who may be a new face when the medical drama returns this fall.

A June 13 article about aspiring artists in Los Angeles profiles Robert McHalffey, a Cleveland-raised 29-year-old hoping to make it big as an actor.

"I had an audition for Grey's Anatomy two months ago," the up-and-comer says. "Regardless if I get the part, I was in the room. They know who I am. It's the little victories."

The fact that the article was presumably written recently and Robert was still waiting on the results of his audition, we have a feeling he was trying out for a Season 11 part. We do know, after all, that the writers and producers are already working on next year's drama.

That said, we don't know how major of a character Robert tried out for, but if it is for Season 11, it has to be more than a bit part considering the premiere is still months away.

So what do we know about the potential Grey's addition? He's 6'1", he has a tattoo of a "buxom angel," and he wrote an ebook called The Ultimate Waiter filled with tricks of the serving trade. "I wanted to create passive income," he explains. "I earn about $30 a month from it. Gas money."

Perhaps he'll be earning more once Season 11 starts filming. Break a leg, dude!
