Robin Hood Is Regina’s True Love on Once Upon a Time: Yay or Nay?

Regina (Lana Parrilla) fans have long been rallying for their fave queen to get a second chance at love on Once Upon a Time, and now Season 3 has opened the door to that possibility — in the form of everyone's favorite robber, Robin Hood. But how are the fans feeling about this twist?

In Season 3, Episode 3: "Quite a Common Fairy" we learned that once upon a time, after Regina's true love Daniel died and she married Snow's father, but before she'd gone full-on evil, Regina met Tinker Bell, and Tink tried to convince her to find a second love.

This backstory was useful because it confirmed that it is possible to find a new love in Fairytale Land, even after losing your true love. But that's not all! Using pixie dust, Tink managed to track down the man who could make Regina happy. Regina chickened out and never introduced herself, but we did learn that her second would-be love has a lion tattoo… the same tattoo that Robin Hood has!

Clearly, the show is setting up a potential Regina/Robin Hood romance, though we won't see it actually play out until they're at least in the same world. Is this a good pairing?

We think it definitely has some possibility. Robin Hood is a good guy who could help Regina reach redemption, but his version of heroism involves being an outlaw, so he knows what it feels like to be an outsider. They've both lost other loves. They both have sons they adore. Yeah, we can see why they might end up hitting it off.

On the other hand, we know that plenty of you prefer Regina with someone else, whether that's Daniel, Hook, Emma, or another character we've already met. So sound off with your feelings about this twist in the comments below!
