Ryan Seacrest Gets Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock to Spill Her Guts
Hollywood godfather Ryan Seacrest recently made time between Kardashians to interview Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock. What did the radio jockey to the stars discover? Only the secret to Des’ heart: ping pong balls.
“I like this game,” Des mewed as Ryan explained the rules to Truth Pong. (Briefly: Throw ball toward cup. Miss: probing question. Don’t miss: show comes to screeching halt.) Predictably, Des missed all three times. Guess girlfriend didn’t learn how to handle flying balls during last night’s episode.
As Ryan ramped up the questions, Des dished about her dating dealbreakers: unjustified crying, unbearable awkwardness, and unbelievable egos. So pretty much the only things this season has going for it.
Notably, she admitted that current “villain” Ben Scott may be overplaying his hand — with both the boys and the Bachelorette.
“I guess they just don’t like that he’s a little bold and not really trying to befriend them,” explained Des. "Looking back, some of it could be jealousy.” Either way, she agreed his unpopularity is a “big” red flag. Could this mean Ben goes home soon?
Also a turnoff: telling a dude to kiss you. Although in the moment Des shrugged off Bryden Vukasin’s lukewarm hot tub encounter, she fessed up to Ryan, saying “It is a red flag” before quickly adding “It really was a great dinner, great talk, great night,” likely thanks to a Bachelorette producer glaring from a studio corner...
Ryan even took Des down memory lane, asking about ex Sean Lowe and whether she thinks he and Catherine Giudici have done the deed. Insert properly horrified response ending with a resounding “no” here. Ryan, however, thinks they’ve rounded at least second base.
By the time the interview ended, we knew three things for sure. First, a Bachelorette contestant should cry only if he’s professing his love for you at the same time. Second, Ryan thinks about Sean Lowe’s naked chest. Third, Des is most physically attracted to Chris Siegfried (from the neck down). Sorry, Juan Pablo. You’ll always be numero uno to us!
