Sammi Sweetheart Supports Diana Nyad in 48-Hour Swim For Sandy Relief (PHOTOS)
Sammi Sweetheart may not be on Jersey Shore anymore, but the restoration of Seaside Heights, New Jersey and other Sandy-affected areas is clearly still super important to the reality TV star.
Giving back in a meaningful way, Sammi attended the Swim For Relief event in New York City on October 9, to support endurance swimmer Diana Nyad's fundraiser. Diana swam for 48 hours straight and raised $103,001 to benefit Hurricane Sandy victims. Over the course of the two days, volunteers swam laps alongside Diana, one of which was MTV host Lenay Dunn.
Sammi tweeted, "Helping to cheer on my girl@lenaydunn !! #DianaNyad #SwimForRelief."
