Vampire Diaries Star Sara Canning Joins Cast of Canadian Medical Drama, Remedy!
Good news for former Vampire Diaries star Sara Canning! She has been booked as a general surgeon at the fictional Broadview Hospital on the Canadian medical drama Remedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But she won’t be the only familiar face from TVD heading up North.
Sara, who played Aunt Jenna Sommers on TVD, will be joined by former Being Human actress Sarah Allen and Nikita’s Dillon Casey. But which of these two was also on The Vampire Diaries? That would be Dillon, who played a character named Noah in Season 1, Episode 12: “Unpleasantville.” Sarah will play an ICU nurse while Dillon plays a medical school dropout — sounds like they’re trying to get their own Grey’s Anatomy, huh?
Just in case you don’t remember how Aunt Jenna came to meet her tragic fate, let us refresh your memory. Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) snapped her neck during the sacrifice after turning her into a vampire. That happened way back in Season 2, but we still feel bad for how Jenna got nixed — though we’re glad Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) escaped that terrible fate.
