We love nothing more than when former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants take it to the internet to muse about the current season of our favorite reality television franchise, so you can imagine our disappointment when ABC canceled Bachelor Blogs. It's like, what's the point of even waking up in the morning?
Luckily, Bachelor Season 17 contestant Sarah Herron came to our rescue with her own personal blog, where she shared sarcastic musings, insights, and words of wisdom about Desiree Hartsock's season of The Bachelorette. So, it's with a heavy heart and second-hand rose high that we tell you Sarah has quit her blog.
Feel free to take a moment and eat your emotions in the form of your own tears.
Apparently, Sarah isn't passionate about reviewing The Bachelorette (though she appreciates you tuning in!), and she can't take the criticism from angry fans who disagree with her feels.
"I would be lying if I didn't say that the negative comments haven't affected me," Sarah explains. "I stand behind everything I've said in this blog 1,000% and want to point out that my opinion is just my opinion – it is not the word of God, and I am not a saint.... Some of you think I talk too much about myself and not enough about the show and to that I will say: this is my blog and I will write about whatever-the-hell-I-want to write about, and it is no longer The Bachelorette."
So, will Sarah keep putting pen to paper (so to speak)? "I would love to write about other topics that do inspire me and get my wheels turning – beyond the 13 episode television series," she says. "I will continue to post, but in the future expect more writing on dating stuff, chia seed recipes and beauty products. Trust me, we’ll still have fun."
We want to trust you, Sarah, but we're just not sure we can get on board with chia seeds. Dating and beauty products, however, are a whole 'nother story.
Will you miss Sarah's Bachelorette blog, or do you think she should move on to bigger and better things?
