Sarah Michelle Gellar Attends Parody Musical of Cruel Intentions
It seems like the entire world is having a bit of a love affair with the 90's. Between the newly announced remake in the works of She's All That and Scream coming to MTV as a TV series, Hollywood has been tapping the decade for all the new, awesome ideas. But that city isn't the only one playing the 90's game...
A new musical based on everybody's favorite guilty pleasure Cruel Intentions, has been floating around Los Angeles, and Katherine herself — Sarah Michelle Gellar — turned up to see what the fuss was about.
So how did Sarah feel about the musical lampooning one of her most infamous roles?
"We were babies when we made the film. I was 20! I celebrated my 21st birthday during filming," Sarah told PEOPLE at the Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles, where the show is running. "It had to be some form of child abuse doing the things I did in that movie."
"It's so crazy. It was such a flood of memories. I don't necessarily think of it as me," Gellar revealed. "But then they started talking, and I could feel the words coming out of my mouth!"
The musical, Cruel Intentions: The Completely Unauthorized Musical, holds nothing back and even includes a musical number for that infamous kissing scene...
