Scandal Season 3: Dan Bucatinsky and Katie Lowes Dish on James and Quinn’s Fate (VIDEO)

The Season 2 finale of ScandalShonda Rhimes's other hit ABC series — left fans shocked, especially when mousy Quinn Perkins (Katie Lowes) picked up a power drill and drilled into a man's thigh for intel on the whereabouts of an incriminating computer chip. Talk about intense!

So when Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Katie and her Scandal co-star Dan Bucatinsky — who also happens to be a writer on Grey's Anatomy! — we had to ask if Quinn was going to tap into her dark side in Season 3.

"I have no idea!" Katie told us at the 2013 ATX Television Festival in Austin. "All I can say is I had an absolute blast filming that scene, and I'd be totally game if it continued that way."

"You just have to jump off the cliff!" added Dan.

Perhaps no one knows that better than Dan, whose Scandal character James was almost taken out by a hitman for knowing too much about how the president really won the election. Oh, and did we mention the hit was ordered by his husband Cyrus, who just so happens to be the White House Chief of Staff? Thankfully, Cyrus called it off at the last minute, but will James ever find out his husband nearly had him murdered?

"This is a show where knowledge is power, and secrets can either kill you or you live by them," Dan said. "So I feel like James's power is going to come from the knowledge that he has, but it could also do him in, so we'll have to see."

Well, if you work for Shonda Rhimes, you constantly live in fear of getting killed off the show. Just ask T.R. Knight, Chyler Leigh, and Eric Dane about that one, guys.

Watch the interview below for more scoop on Season 3 — plus, Dan and Katie talk about their fear of getting killed off by Shonda.
