President Fitzgerald Grant has three children, but casual fans are forgiven for forgetting about the elder two. We've seen plenty of baby Teddy, but Jerry and Karen have been notably MIA. It sounds like that's going to change when Season 3 returns in February.

TV Line reports that the show is currently casting for the Grant kids, and we also get some insight into what the presidential offspring are like. Jerry, the oldest Grant son — and the one who is potentially actually Fitz's half-brother thanks to the devastating twist that revealed Fitz's dad raped Mellie  — is described as "quiet, smart, and intense," while his younger sis, Karen, comes off "polished, self-assured, and older than her years."

Huh. It sounds like Karen takes after her mom, who is always composed even in the the most dire situations, but Jerry sounds unique in the family. There aren't any other Grants we'd call “quiet.”

While we're not sure exactly why the Grant kids are making an appearance, we at least know we can expect to see them in Episode 15. There are only 18 episodes in this shortened season, so we have a feeling things will be getting pretty bonkers by Episode 15. There’s nothing like bringing kids into the picture to add more tension to what will presumably be an already crazy situation.

Are you looking forward to meeting Fitz's kids? What role do you think they'll play in the story? Let us know in the comments below!
