We're in for eight crazy episodes when Scandal Season 3 returns February 27, 2014. It's back to campaign mode for Fitz and co., and it should come as no surprise that in Scandal's twisted version of DC, gunning for a second term isn’t going to go smoothly for the president.

In fact, according to TV Guide, Fitz will face "both someone swearing vengeance against him and resurfacing old rumors."

Hmmm. We wonder if this spoiler is linked to the official synopsis of Season 3, Episode 12 ("We Do Not Touch the First Ladies"), which hints that "old feelings and jealousies arise at a Presidential event causing Fitz to face a harsh reality."

We’re also wondering who’s swearing vengeance on Fitz. Honestly, we could see it being almost anyone at this point. From the Vice President to Liv's dad (who must have a bone to pick with the prez after being booted from B613) to Mellie, most of the characters on the show have gripes with the most powerful man in the world — and we can't rule out a new character, either.

Whoever it is, we hope they pose a real threat to Fitz. Scandal wouldn't be the same if the stakes weren't always sky high.
