Here comes the Bachelor bride — with a big honkin’ price tag right behind her! Catherine Giudici will become Mrs. Sean Lowe this Sunday, January 26 in a live broadcast on ABC.
We'd consider paying someone to pull off a big stunt — maybe Lindsay Yenter or even Arie Luyendyk, Jr. jumping in to say they should be with Sean instead — but we’re pretty sure ABC is already covering all payments.
How much will be paid? According to Life & Style, the TV wedding will cost roughly $250,000. That’s a lot of money if you have to cough it up on your own — and it would be roughly Sean’s entire Dancing With the Stars paycheck — but of course they’re not footing the bill.
If $250K really covers everything, it's not even that much, when you compare it to Trista and Ryan Sutter’s wedding. The cost of that 2003 shindig was $4 million, People reported, with the couple getting a $1 million paycheck themselves. Back then, Trista wore a $70,000 strapless white satin Badgley Mischka gown; $50,000 Stuart Weitzman 4½-inch high-heeled shoes with 282 diamonds; and a $1 million Tacori diamond necklace. In comparison, SeanCat is staying pretty low-key. (Maybe a reflection of quieter ratings since the blockbuster heydays?) The Bachelor Season 17 couple will make it legal at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara, with 200 guests in attendance (including several Bachelor Nation stars). Sean’s dad, Jay, is officiating the wedding, and vegan Catherine helped plan an “eclectic menu” for the reception.
Both Catherine’s and Sean’s moms, plus Cat’s BFF matron of honor, helped her pick out her wedding dress, which Sean has yet to see. “It was the third dress I tried on, and I just knew it was the one,” Catherine told Life & Style. Every Bachelor couple’s real best friend, Neil Lane, designed their wedding bands, although he said Cat and Sean were “very involved in the design.”
Are you excited to see Catherine walk down the aisle? Do you think you’ll cry before or after Sean? You know he'll get misty when he first sees her! And does $250,000 sound like a lot or not that much to you, when it comes to a TV wedding?
