Sean Lowe Catches Heat For Comments About ‘Bachelor’ Star Corinne Olympios

Sean Lowe’s Monday night live tweets are usually appointment viewing for Bachelor Nation, but this week was a little different.

In fact, the Bachelor franchise favorite found himself in a bit of hot water during February 13’s Episode 7, all thanks to a comment about Season 21 villain Corinne Olympios.

The tweet in question occurred after the 25-year-old surprised Nick Viall at his hotel room in Bimini, attempting to share with him her “platinum vagine.”

“I know that I want Nick, so I’m going to make sure I get Nick,” she told the cameras. “I definitely know how to turn on the sex charm.”

Sean wasn’t too impressed with the Miami gal’s last ditch effort to secure a rose invite to Hometown Dates, and let it be known on Twitter.

“At least we respect that fact that you tried to sleep with him for a rose. Wait... nope, that's not something we respect,” he wrote at the time.

Cue the backlash!

“I have immense respect for someone falling in love acting on their feelings, and no respect for you shaming them on Twitter,” one Bachelor fan fired back.

Nick himself seemed in agreement, retweeting the response — and he wasn’t the only one.

A number of the new dad’s followers were upset with his statement, saying things like “it’s really disappointing how often you shame women” and pointing out that expressing sexuality shouldn’t determine whether you’re “worthy of respect.”

“People respected your choice not to have sex with Catherine until you married her, you should respect their choices as well,” another fan wrote.

Not everyone had a problem with his statement, with many defending his perspective in the comments.

“@SeanLowe09 didn't make disparaging remarks re her sexuality. He simply stated he doesn't respect using sex 2 get things,” one pointed out.

Another chimed in, “I think there’s a difference between wanting sex and using it as a manipulation tool, which she clearly admitted to.”

And to be fair, the Texan’s views shouldn’t surprise his followers.

He’s been candid about his belief in saving sex for marriage — something he did with now-wife, Catherine Lowe.

Speaking of Catherine…

The former Bachelor also warned his followers earlier in the night his tweets wouldn’t be as good, as “Catherine’s not here to tell me what’s funny and what’s dumb.”

Where was she?

The 30-year-old style maven is currently in NYC for fashion week.

If she were by his side at the time, we’re curious whether he would’ve found himself in the same situation — one that also had him in an uncomfortable exchange with Nick that night…

There seemed to be more tension between the men during the ep, after Sean joked Nick should be “worried about the dads” during Hometown Dates.

It seems the Wisconsin hunk didn’t really like that.

The 36-year-old replied, “I have no doubt you thank god every day for being you. #TheBachelor.”

Sean played it cool, though.

“You got that right! Hope you find the same happiness,” he countered.

Eek! This comes just one week after the two got into it the first time, with Nick telling Sean to "stick to parenting" after he made a number of sarcastic jokes at his expense.

We thought you guys were friends?!

The Bachelor airs Monday, February 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
