On October 3, Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici hopped on a plane from Dallas to Catherine’s Seattle hometown. The reason for their mini-vacay? A Seattle engagement party — and Wetpaint Entertainment has the exclusive details on the hometown girl’s homecoming.

Since getting engaged on The Bachelor Season 17 and going public at the “After the Final Rose” special on March 11, SeanCat hasn’t really had a chance to hang with friends in the Pacific Northwest. With Sean’s Dancing With the Stars stint, they were rooted in Los Angeles until moving to his Texas hometown in August. So, when they got the chance to head up for an engagement party with all of Catherine’s friends and family, they jumped at it.

On Friday, October 4, Sean, Catherine, and a bunch of her Seattle friends and family gathered at Ballard Annex Oyster House — one of Catherine’s favorite hometown spots — for a party thrown by her bridesmaids and mother. For the event, they chose the perfect blend of Texas meets the Northwest (how fitting!). The menu included fresh seafood from the Annex and BBQ from sister restaurant Kickin’ Boot Whiskey Kitchen. Of course it was all topped off with a champagne toast!

After the main party, the couple moved over to neighboring nightclub BalMar for some drinks and dancing with about a dozen friends, where they had a reserved seating section in the corner of the upstairs lounge.

A couple of Wetpainters happened to be out in the neighborhood and ran into the gorgeous pair at their second stop. “They could not have been nicer,” Wetpaint social marketer Skye Pascall gushes of the blond Bachelor. “Sean said yes to my photo request immediately and I am such a huge fan of Catherine so she was happy to be in the picture, too. I just love them.”

Indeed, the dressed up duo — Sean wore a checked shirt, black skinny tie, and gray suit jacket with gray chinos while Catherine rocked a black hi-lo dress, sparkly statement necklace, and bold brows — attracted a ton of attention from The Bachelor fans. But while girls nearby gawked at them, they seemed totally in the moment with their friends. Though they spent most of the time in conversation, Catherine took breaks to have mini dance parties with her pals.

While it seems they had a blast in town, they headed back to Texas on October 6 to settle back into their post-television lives. We can’t wait for their wedding — and our fingers are crossed we’ll get to see them celebrate a second time. On TV, that is!
