Sean Lowe’s Family Growing By One — Baby Girl On the Way!

The Lowe family is expanding — even beyond making room for Catherine Giudici in Dallas!

Have they finally figured out how to clone Bachelor Sean Lowe?! Sadly, no. Are Sean and Catherine adopting a new puppy pal to join their crew? Nope, not that we’ve heard. There’s a new baby on the way, and her name is Ashby London. But she won’t be calling Sean “Dad” or Catherine “Mom” — they’ll have to settle for Uncle Seanie and Auntie Cat.

Sean’s sister, Shay, and Shay’s husband Andrew are adopting a little girl. As Shay wrote in her blog, “It is with grateful and humble hearts that Andrew and I announce our family is growing by one. We are adopting a baby girl. Ashby London will be the new addition to the Shull family :).” Yay!

This is something Shay has been thinking about for almost three years, when, as she says in her post “the Lord really started working on my heart and telling me that we needed to adopt an orphan from another country.”

Shay and Andrew already have two children, a daughter and a son, and when Shay first came up with her plan to expand, their kids were ages 26-months and 10-months. So it’s not like they didn’t have their hands full — but she says it was just something they were called to do, after a lot of soul-searching. Shay and Andrew began the official adoption process at the start of June 2013, and it sounds like it’s been going well! “We are hoping and praying to have her home with us by next fall...but honestly, only God knows when our family will be complete.”

The Lowe family has always been close, and Andrew was actually Sean’s college football teammate before he met Shay — and became Sean’s brother-in-law. Sean has said he too would love to adopt a child, in addition to having some of his own. Once he and Catherine meet little Ashby London, they’ll probably be even more motivated to start a family of their own.

Congrats — and good luck — to the growing Lowe family!
