The Originals Music: Songs From Season 1, Episode 9 — “Reigning Pain in New Orleans”

If there’s anything The Originals continues to astound us in, it has to be the soundtrack. Each episode is chock-full of tunes that get our heart racing our our feels in a knot. With tonight being the mid-season finale for the freshman series, we expected a lot from Episode 9 (“Reigning Pain in New Orleans”) — after all, we have to wait until January 14 to see our favorite show again!

Given all the drama that was on tonight’s episode of the supernatural show, the music was absolutely perfect, though lacking in the sheer number of songs that were played. Check out the tracks below, add them to your playlist ASAP, and then let us know which song was your favorite!

Title: “Like No One”
Artist: Caught A Ghost
Scene: Klaus is with Marcel & gets a call when the pub gets attacked. Those annoying humans.

Title: “Diamonds”
Artist: The Boxer Rebellion
Scene: Klaus compels Cami to leave New Orleans; Marcel tells Rebecca he picks Klaus over her; Haley thanks Elijah; Elijah apologizes to Klaus; Klaus invites Elijah & Rebecca to join him.

The Originals returns Tuesday, January 14, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
