Bachelor in Paradise Season 1: Where Is the Show Located?

Those sneaky execs over at ABC have been keeping most of the details about Bachelor spin-off Bachelor in Paradise hush-hush, and it’s really working — we’re just chomping at the bit for any info we can get! While we’re pretty solid on which Bachelor/Bachelorette alums are unretiring their bikinis and deep-Vs, the actual concept of the show is still murky. But at least we know where they’re filming!

That’s right, as one can gather from the title, those on the search for inter-Bacher Nation love are doing so in a tropical, beachside home in the lovely country of… Mexico! According to Reality Steve, the stand-in Bachelor Mansion is in Tulum, a walled city along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. Sounds lovely!

Meanwhile, ABC has only announced officially that the digs are in Mexico, but at least Steve’s eyes and ears south of the border confirmed the actual town. Plus, the press release says that the contestants will be living together for seven weeks (20 days, to be exact) in an “isolated romantic paradise” — is that not totally on par with a walled-in port city?

Down there, the cast and viewers are said to experience “new twists, shocking surprises, unexpected guests, and some of the most unlikely relationships in Bachelor history.” And from everything we’ve heard so far, it’ll live up to the hype! Don’t believe us? You probably didn’t (spoiler alert!) see this couple coming, did ya?!

Tune in when Bachelor in Paradise premieres August 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
