Though wedding days are usually joyous occasions, a little stress is to be expected for such imposing affairs. But April (Sarah Drew) seems to have it especially bad in the episode that airs this Thursday, December 12 — Season 10, Episode 12, "Get Up, Stand Up."
Before we get to April's bridal woes, however, let's just spend a moment celebrating such a big episode for Sarah Drew. "It’s not often that I get to walk on set and be the belle of the ball," the actress tells TV Fanatic. "The dress is just incredible and the setting was absolutely stunning."
Unfortunately, April will probably have zero time to admire her dress or the pastoral setting, on account of all the drama going down around her.
"For the most part, she is not calm," Sarah reveals. "She chose to have three bridesmaids that generally tend to be pretty self-absorbed."
Truer words were never spoke — much as we love Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Cristina (Sandra Oh), and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw). For one, Meredith and Cristina are amidst an epic feud, and TV Fanatic teases that April will get "caught in the crossfire." Compounding the stress level, Arizona and Callie (Sara Ramirez) will also have "drama."
Sarah also advises: "Don’t go to the bathroom for the last five minutes. Don’t leave the room. If you miss a second of it, it’s going to be a problem."
Phew! Sounds like this episode will have all the agony and ecstasy we'd expect from a midseason finale. It'd better, after all, considering the long wait we'll have until the next episode.
Grey's Anatomy Season 10, Episode 12, "Get Up, Stand Up," airs Thursday, December 12, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
