Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, Episode 21 Sneak Peek: Alex Lectures Arizona (VIDEO)

Chummy as Alex and Arizona are as "tiny human" doctors on Grey's Anatomy, they have a lot of history between them — and we're not just talking about the time he slept with her future wife!

Alex's decision to go into private practice with Oliver Lebackes (Patrick Fabian) is bringing up painful memories for them both, as shown by this sneak peek for Season 10, Episode 21 — "Change of Heart," airing April 24.

As the scene starts, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Alex (Justin Chambers) are on a charter plane together, and Arizona starts reminiscing about the last time that they were on a plane.

Alex incorrectly assumes that she means the time that she booted him off a plane to Idaho after he betrayed her by considering a job at Johns Hopkins — the plane that later crashed, killing two doctors and costing Arizona her leg. Alex then decided to turn down the job to stay with his one-legged mentor.

But Arizona is actually referring to the first time they met, on a trip to get a liver and small bowel for a 10-year-old. But Alex — correctly assuming that she's trying to talk him out of the private practice job — cuts her off again and tells her to butt out of his decision.

"I know you think I'm selling out — that I'm choosing money over substance and that it's a waste of my talent, or whatever," he rants. "That there's more to life than nice schedules and a big fat paycheck. Well, I thought about it hard. You've been awesome, but I've already stayed here once for you. I have to start thinking about myself, about what I want. I worked hard, and I deserve this. I deserve to think about myself for once, OK?"

Do you think Alex has completely made up his mind, or will Arizona be able to convince him to stay? Speculate away in the comments below.

Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
