Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, Episode 24 Sneak Peek: Finale Disaster Is a Mall Explosion (VIDEO)

We finally know how Season 10 of Grey's Anatomy is going out with a bang. As revealed by this just-released sneak peek for the episode airing this Thursday, May 15 — Season 10, Episode 24: "Fear (of the Unknown)" — an explosion at a local mall will send dozens of trauma patients to Grey Sloan Memorial.

As the preview below starts, April (Sarah Drew) tentatively approaches Owen (Kevin McKidd), hoping to have a private word with him. But Owen tells her to just spit out what she wants to say right there, in the middle of the ER.

"I'm pregnant," she blurts. "I know it's sudden, and it's soon, and I know it makes your life hell, but I will work until it falls out of me. Kepners are built to have babies, sir. We… we drop them in fields!"

As it turns out, however, she didn't need to worry about her boss's reaction. "Kepner, I'm happy for you," Owen says. "Thrilled! Congratulations."

April, relieved, starts prattling on about not wanting to die childless, but Owen is looking away, distracted by the newscast playing on a nearby screen.

"… an enormous explosion. It happened only minutes ago at Seattle's The Mall of the Woods," the anchor announces. "We're getting reports of massive fatalities and scores of people injured."

The two redheaded docs swing into action, barking commands over each other as they order the ER cleared, elective surgeries canceled, and all surgeons paged.

"Of course the big concern right now, and what we're all wondering is, Is this an act of terrorism?" the newscaster continues.

Scary! What do you think will happen? Will the departing residents die trying to rescue patients at the scene? Speculate away in the comments below.

Grey's Anatomy Season 10, Episode 24 — "Fear (of the Unknown)" — airs this Thursday, May 15, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
