Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, Episode 4: What to Expect From the 200th Episode
Can you believe that Grey's Anatomyis about to hit 200 episodes? 200. That's a mark most TV shows dream of reaching, and Grey's is set to celebrate in suitably triumphant style during Season 10, Episode 4: "Puttin' on the Ritz." A huge gala for a huge anniversary? Shonda Rhimes wouldn't have it any other way.
We've gathered info on what's going to go down so you're prepared when the big 2-0-0 goes down.

Yes, the gala's gonna be over the top, because this is Grey's Anatomy, where everything is go big or go home. As Shonda Rhimes explains, "Jackson thinks it's going to be a very tasteful, elegant gala, and instead it turns out to be a hot mess." A hot mess full of circus performers, because why the heck not?
There's a lot to unpack in that synopsis. Let's start with Jackson's "rash promise." In a sneak peek that you can watch here, we learn that he's decided to promise 10 percent of the night's haul to whichever department rakes in the most donations. Yeah, because these perfectionist docs always handle competition with so much grace and dignity.
As you can probably guess, things are going to get a little out of hand. For example, it sounds like Callie will exaggerate exactly how bad her situation with Arizona is to get sympathy. And by "exaggerate" we mean tell "a pretty horrible lie about their relationship." Ouch.
Meredith Is Going Crazy
In that same sneak peek, we see that Meredith is going completely stir-crazy because of her maternity leave. It's no wonder that she jumps at the chance to dump the fancy gala to return to the OR when something goes wrong. That's all well and good, but why does Derek seem to be upset that she was flirting with someone in the promo? Eh, we're not actually worried. It's probably all part of the competitive fun.
What's Bailey Up To?
The synopsis reveals that Bailey is busy with "several extremely difficult patients," and based on the promo, one of them is Richard, who's still not entirely on board with the whole "being alive" thing. Given the intensity of their relationship, we expect this plotline to be an emotional one. The good news is this week might be when Richard finally finds the will to live again.
While we're not sure exactly what Alex will tell Jo, we have a feeling it has something to do with his estranged father, whose arc begins this week.
