Doctors assemble! The current cast of Grey's Anatomy congregated for what may be the last time yesterday, April 8, as they sat down to "table read" the Season 10 finale — Season 10, Episode 24, airing May 15.
"I am sandwiched between two uh-mazing people!" writes Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) as she retweets this Twitter photo from Sarah Drew (April Kepner).
And although this trio of actors and the rest of the cast may be all smiles, the table read was bittersweet, since three actors are leaving — including ten-season veteran Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang).
"It happened," Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes tweeted. "Season 10 finale table read aka @IamSandraOh's last #greysanatomy table read ever. ;I may need to rock quietly for a while."
And Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) writes that the table read was an emotional one, calling out the other departing cast members, Gaius Charles (Shane Ross) and Tessa Ferrer (Leah Murphy):
"Pics you may see of me smiling from today were taken before the read-through," she tweets. "#NuffSaid #TeamTissues #Sandra @IamSandraOh @GaiusCharles #TessaFerrer"
Sarah concurs: "I cried my face off at the table read. Talk about an emotional roller coaster. Fans will not be disappointed!"
This all lends credence to our theory that the season will end with a bang — or a quake! — and makes us think that Leah and Shane might not be long for this world.
